Rising Opportunities: Global Air Operators Betting on India

India’s air cargo sector stands at a critical inflection point, driven by expanding infrastructure, rising export volumes and a stronger push towards export-led growth. India’s growing manufacturing base and deeper integration into global supply chains are creating new opportunities across the air cargo ecosystem. As industries continue to scale, demand for reliable, time-sensitive and globally connected air cargo solutions is expected to rise significantly. However, attracting long-term participation from global air cargo operators will depend not only on market potential but also on operational efficiency, network viability and service reliability. This session will examine why India is emerging as an important growth market for international air cargo operators and what is required to strengthen its competitiveness. Discussions will focus on export growth trends, network expansion opportunities and India’s evolving air cargo landscape.

One Nation, One Network: The Dynamic Multimodal Backbone of India's Export Ecosystem

For exporters and manufacturers, inefficiencies in first mile and last mile connectivity, lack of coordination between transport modes and inconsistent cargo handling across nodes continue to increase transit times and logistics costs. While large-scale infrastructure initiatives such as Dedicated Freight Corridors, Multimodal Logistics Parks and the PM Gati Shakti framework aim to improve connectivity, the real challenge lies in achieving seamless integration between road, rail, ports and air cargo systems. Despite significant investments, the shift from a modal network to a truly integrated logistics system remains incomplete. This session will examine whether India can realistically build a fully integrated multimodal logistics network that delivers measurable cost and efficiency benefits.

Aligning Air Cargo Networks with the Evolving Needs of Exporters

While new infrastructure developments and expanding airport capacity aim to strengthen the air cargo ecosystem, many shippers continue to face persistent challenges in accessing reliable and cost effective air freight services. Freight rate volatility, limited capacity availability, inconsistent service levels and lack of predictability in cargo movement continue to impact shipment planning and delivery commitments. For exporters, these challenges directly affect order fulfilment, inventory cycles and competitiveness in global markets. This session will focus on service reliability, cost transparency, capacity access and operational bottlenecks across the air cargo value chain.

Technology in Logistics: From Option to Necessity

Digital technologies such as real time tracking, control tower platforms, predictive analytics and digital freight systems are increasingly reshaping global logistics operations. For exporters and manufacturers, limited visibility into cargo movement, lack of data integration across stakeholders and delayed decision making continue to affect supply chain efficiency. Despite growing awareness, technology adoption remains inconsistent and this creates gaps in end to end supply chain visibility and limits the ability to build truly integrated logistics networks. The discussion will focus on interoperability, data sharing, investment models and the role of collaboration between logistics providers, exporters and technology companies in accelerating adoption.

Strengthening Export Cargo Movement from Inland Terminals to Ports and International Markets

India’s export competitiveness is fundamentally shaped by how efficiently cargo moves from inland production centres to global markets. With growing manufacturing and export volumes, the pressure on inland terminals and supporting infrastructure is intensifying. Congestion, delays and weak coordination between inland terminals / rail / ports are making cargo movement slow and unpredictable. This session will examine how inland infrastructure, port connectivity and policy execution must align to enable seamless export cargo flow. The discussion will focus on improving operational efficiency at ICDs, strengthening coordination across stakeholders and ensuring that infrastructure investments translate into measurable performance outcomes. The panel will also explore what it will take for India to move beyond infrastructure expansion and position itself as a reliable and competitive maritime hub in the global ocean cargo ecosystem.

Leveraging 3PL Logistics Networks to Improve Cost and Delivery Performance

Domestic logistics networks are critical to India’s supply chain efficiency, supporting the movement of goods across manufacturing hubs, distribution centres and consumption markets. Despite the growing role of 3PLs, domestic logistics costs remain high and delivery performance continues to vary across regions. For manufacturers and FMCG companies, this directly affects inventory planning, order fulfilment and customer service levels. This session will examine how 3PL led domestic logistics networks are delivering measurable improvements in cost efficiency and delivery performance. The panel will evaluate what it takes for 3PLs to build scalable and reliable domestic networks and what manufacturers should expect from logistics partners in terms of performance, accountability and cost optimisation.

Express Logistics in Disrupted Times: Enabling Faster Inventory Replenishment & Agile Distribution for Business Growth

In an increasingly volatile business environment, disruption has become a constant rather than an exception. The ability to respond quickly through faster inventory replenishment and agile distribution networks is now critical to sustaining business growth, with express logistics emerging as a key enabler in this shift. Businesses today require faster and more agile distribution networks to respond to changing market demands. At the same time, cross-border express logistics is becoming increasingly important for enabling faster international shipments and supporting export-driven supply chains. This session will examine how collaboration between businesses and logistics providers can build more resilient, agile and responsive supply chains in an increasingly dynamic trade environment.
